Shane Ventura fell in love with geeky Jesse Seider when they were both in high school, but they broke up when their band, Luck, signed their first record deal and the label requested Shane to kick Jesse out because he wasn't handsome enough. Now, over a decade later, Shane is a rock star, Luck is highly successful, but Shane starts feeling empty. He can't forget Jesse and still regrets what he did to his first love all those years ago. A joint tour with another band, Moonlight, brings Shane in contact with Kayden, Moonlight's beautiful lead singer. The attraction is immediate, and mutual, even though Kayden gives Shane the cold shoulder (does he ever - Antarctica is warm, compared to this!) However, Shane doesn't give up, feeling that Kayden might be his second chance at love and the one man who can take Jesse's place in his frozen heart...This was an easy read, and I liked the rock-star setting as well as the songs and lyrics that are instrumental in Kayden's and Shane's relationship. It's also quite predictable, of course, and has a somewhat melodramatic ending that was a little over the top for me. Also, aside from a few kisses, the sex scenes were off-the-mill though thankfully, rarely gratuitous. Still, it was entertaining and enjoyable enough. Recommended if you're in the mood for something light and fluffy.
