This book pulled me in from the start and kept me right there. It's an intense read. Dan has lots of heavy stuff to deal with, beginning with his lover's death up until building a new life. This was one of the few threesomes where I felt ALL issues of such a construct were tackled, especially when it's a somewhat established couple who adds a third one, and I liked it very much that they were'nt all happy go lucky in the end, but still feeling their way as they went. The present tense this was written in made the 380 pages pass by quickly, and Dan had an unique narrative voice, one that fit him perfectly and made his character come alive on the pages. Evan and Jeff were a little less well worked out, but since there's a sequel around, and since there were a lot of loose ends left, I guess this is going to be remedied. I loved this book and can really recommend it to everyone who doesn't mind a lot of tears and sadness, given there's hope in the end.
